Dr James main interests are in children’s health and he is involved in training medical students and GP Registrars.
Dr James works half time at the Uni and half time at Chaddesden.
Dr Jonathon Cox (m) GMC: 3017760
Qualifications BSc MB BChir MRCGP DRCOG Cambridge University (1986)
Dr Cox’s main interests are in Diabetes, Asthma, Ear Nose and Throat problems as well as joint injections.
Dr Cox works half time at the Uni and half time at Chaddesden.
Dr Rachel Burnett (f) GMC: 4645476
Qualifications BM BS Nottingham University (1999)
Dr Burnett did 2 years of hospital medicine before joining the practice as a Registrar in 2005 and became a salaried GP in 2006. Since October 2010 Dr Burnett is now a partner in the practice. Her areas of interest are Palliative Care and Women’s Health.
Dr Burnett works half time at the Uni and half time at Chaddesden.

Laura Cremin and Tonya Cammack are our Uni Nurse Practitioner who can see patients for minor illnesses (except for children under the age of one or pregnant ladies).

Qualifications: RGN. Dip. Nursing (Adult). Independent Nurse Prescriber. Health Visitor. Working towards MScAdvanced Practice.

Rachel is one of our Healthcare Assistants. Rachel works at our Chaddesden, Borrowash and University sites

Georgina (George) is a Blood Taker and also performs Healthcare Assistant duties.
Patient Participation Group
The practice is fortunate in having a very active PPG. If you are interested in becoming involved please contact the Chairman, Rick Bailey, on 01332 677 474.
There is a PPG notice board at our Borrowash Surgery.
NEW MEMBERS NEEDED
We are looking for more new members to join us. We meet every 4-6 weeks at the Chaddesden Surgery in the evening.
The group is made up of all different people of all ages from all walks of life. We particularly need people in the 20-35 ages range, but everyone is welcome. We currently have an age range of 15 to 80+ the group looks at current health issues and helps the practice plan future services.
If you do not have the time to attend meetings, we are setting up a virtual patient group, so you can join in the decision making process of the practice via email.
