Following the guidance from NHS England we no longer allow patients to book appointments face to face at reception, this is for the safety of yourself, other patients and staff. You can help with this by NOT attending any of our 4 sites, for any reason, without being asked to do so by a member of The Park Medical Practice Team.

NHS COVID-19 Vaccination – Latest Information

We know lots of people are eager to get protected but we are asking you NOT TO CONTACT US to get an appointment for the Coronavirus vaccination as you will not be able to get one until you have been contacted.

When it is the right time for you to receive your vaccination, you will receive an invitation to come forward. This may be via the telephone or through a letter either from your GP or the national booking system. This may happen at different times for different surgeries. Please do not worry, we know who is due a vaccine and in what order.

The link below should answer any questions you may have. Unfortunately, we will not be able to discuss with individual patients other than to advise whether previous allergies are significant.

Please note the vaccine is free of charge and therefore, would NEVER ask for your card details. Please be aware there are currently scam texts circulating. See the link for more information;

Following extensive trials, two safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines (Pfzier-BioNTech & Oxford-AstraZeneca) have now been approved for use in the UK and are available to priority groups.

Vaccinations are being delivered according to priority groups identified by the Joint Committee of Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

The vaccinations may take place at your GP practice or at a local vaccination centre (Derby Arena) led by GP’s Practice Nurses and community pharmacists who are responsible for delivering the vaccine to people in your community

We would like to thank you all for your continued support and co-operation during these difficult times. Please rest assured that we are working as fast as we can to bring you this vaccine.
