Proposal to close the Park Medical Practice at Oakwood.
We would like to inform our patients that we are proposing the closure of The Oakwood branch of Park Medical Practice. This proposal has been made after careful consideration, as the current premises are no longer fit for purpose and do not meet the standards required to deliver safe, high-quality patient care. In making this decision we have been working closely with the Derby & Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) as well as the practices Patient Participation Group (PPG). The practice does not own the building and there has been very little investment in the building since it was built back in the 1980s.
Your views are important to us, and we want to ensure that any decision made considers the needs and concerns of our community. We want to hear how this proposal may impact you, and we are actively working towards solutions that will help support our patients throughout this process.
If the proposal goes ahead, all services currently provided at Oakwood would continue at our Chaddesden and Borrowash sites.
