Repeat prescriptions can be obtained from the surgery without seeing a doctor/nurse. If the doctor is happy for you to continue the treatment, you can do this in a number of ways:

Please check on your latest prescription tear-off slip that your medication does not need reviewing, ie the two numbers are the same, eg 3/3 - if this is the case, your medication will need reviewing.

By Telephoning:

Most people try to telephone the prescription line at 11.30am. You may get through quicker if you telephone later.

To speak to an operator: Call 0844 477 3495 between the hours of 11.30am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday. The prescription will be ready to collect after 5.00pm the next working day at your usual surgery. (Note: Borrowash Surgery closes at 1.00pm on Wednesdays, so the prescription will be ready for Thursday morning).

In Person or by Post:

Please bring or post your repeat prescription to the surgery, deleting any drugs you do not require. Your prescription will be ready the next working day after 5.00pm. If you include a stamped, addressed envelope we will be happy to post it back to you.

Online:

Follow the link at the top of this page to the online form. You will require a User Name and Password to order this way. Please follow the instructions found in 'Latest News' if you do not already have a User Name and Password.

Your prescription will be ready for collection the next working day after 5.00pm.

NB: please check that the prescription issued is exactly what you requested before you leave the surgery.

In addition, you can request a local pharmacy to collect the prescription on your behalf.
