Out-of-hours surgery consultations take place at various sites in Southern Derbyshire and are mostly by appointment only. Consultations may be with a doctor or nurse practitioner or emergency care practitioner.

NHS Direct
NHS Direct can be telephoned at any time if you need health information, such as to request information about an illness or requirements for foreign travel. The NHS Direct website http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk is also an excellent source of information.
Derby Walk-In Centre
The walk-in centre can be accessed by anyone seven days a week from 8.00am to 7.30pm. It is located off Osmaston Road at the back of the London Road Community Hospital. No appointment is necessary and the staff deal with minor illnesses, minor injuries, contraception and health information.
One Medicare are also opening a walk-in centre in Derby. Currently, they work in the same premises as the Derby Walk-In Centre but are shortly due to move to new premises on Harrington Street, Derby.
